Taos Valley RV Resort: SURPRISE!

We went to Taos, NM after our trip to Creede, CO. We stayed three nights at Taos Valley RV Resort. It was nicely located near the town center. It is a clean, older park, making maneuvering into sites a bit challenging for large rigs. Fair prices and we were fine. Two days after we left and went to Santa Fe we got a mysterious credit card charge. Turns out it was $18.18 for our electricity use at Taos Valley. When I called them he said it was a “new policy from the new owners, in place since February 2020”. He said our receipt mentions the charge, and their web site mentions extra electric billing. He was right. The receipt was emailed two days after checkout, and the lady checking us in said nothing of it. The website I made reservations from months ago made no mention. SURPRISE! SURPRISE!!
I can see monthly tenants paying separate electric, but at nightly rates it is not our usual experience. Live and Learn, and stay elsewhere.
