For those with dogs

If you are passing through North Carolina, there is an RV park that caters to dogs. The name of the place is "Four Paws Kingdom".

It is located outside of Rutherfordton. Beautiful country. Go to the park's website as they have a special message for those with children.

The sites are nice, level, gravel and the vast majority are pull thru's. (Pull thru's is my speciality)

A nice, clean and dog friendly place. We don't own a dog, but they let us in anyway...

Rutherfordton is within easy driving distance to the Cowpens National Battlefield Park and Kings Mountain National Battlefield Park. Battles of the American Revolution were fought at these locations.

On our way back to Raleigh, saw a Cardinal westbound near Colfax.

Take care.

If going to the Durango, CO area there is a campground called Blue Spruce north of Lake Vallecito that is very good. Facilities are very clean, it is quiet, very friendly and helpful, good wi-fi, lots of shade, good roads and good hookups. It's only problem is that it is an hour from anything, but when relaxing that is good. Tonight we are at Mesa Verde RV Resort on 160 just east of Mesa Verde NP. Again, very good facilities as most book reviews and web reviews have written.
