We are heading out for about 3 months and just wanted to know if anyone has been to Big Bend and what did you think of it. Any suggestions?

We've never been but have friends that have gone and say it's a "must do" for us one day. Almost everyone I know stayed around the Alpine area, but I don't have any specific information.

Hopefully someone else will have some info - someone has to have been down there I would have thought!

Not been to the park but have been to the Alpine area. The Lost Alaskan RV park there is pretty decent and reasonable, we stopped there due to excessive wind (welcome to west texas) on the roads and ended up staying a couple days.
