Georgia State Campground (Hard Labor SP)

Post by halrkent (Deceased) »

Hard Labor State Park is located 45 miles east of Atlanta and 13 miles off I-20 (exit 105) in Rutledge, GA. It offers 50 camping spaces (only 3 have 50 Amp Service) w/electricity and water. The park is nicely wooded and the sites are level with concrete picnic tables. Site cost is $25.00. Park has a small fishing/swimming lake but the main attraction is an 18-hole golf course. Rutledge, a small town close to the park, offers great food at Yesterdays restaurant then go across the street for ice cream at the Red Caboose.
If you’re traveling in Georgia on I-20 between Atlanta and Augusta this is a good campground for a stopover.
