Georgia State Parks - F.D. Roosevelt State Park
A 9047 acre park with 140 tent/trailer/RV sites, 21 cottages, hiking trails, picnic areas, fishing lake and other amenities located at Pine Mountain, Georgia. Some sites have 50 Amp and some have 30 Amp service. All have water and electricity and there is a dump station. RV Campsites are $23-$25. The roads are paved and sites are level with picnic tables, fire pits and charcoal grills. www.gastateparks.org/info/fdr/
FDR State Park is located near Callaway Gardens and the town of Warm Springs. This park is deeply rooted in the historical era of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Little White House in Warm Springs was left just as it was when Roosevelt died. Warm Springs has great places to eat and shop.
Calloway Gardens has golf, fishing, bike trails and flowers everywhere. They have activities every weekend so check them out on their web-site: http://www.callawaygardens.com.
Whether driving through or driving to Southwest Georgia these are great destinations. You could spend a week and not see everything of interest around the Park.
