Little Ocmulgee State Park and Lodge is conveniently located off Highway 441 in South Georgia (located 2 miles north of McRae via U.S. Hwys. 319 and 441). This park features a wide variety of amenities, 60 rooms lodge with a restaurant (Fridays seafood & Saturdays steak buffets), 10 cottages, 7 picnic shelters, 2 groups shelters, 18 hole championship golf course, 2 tennis courts, 2.6 mile nature walk, 265 acre lake with beach and fishing, pool and splash water park for the kids, and 54 campsite campground with 50/30 amp service, water and sewage (a few). If you are a history buff the park was constructed in 1935-7 time period by the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC). The visitor’s center, dam/lake and group shelters still give tribute to these men.
