Traveling to Mc Kinney, Texas

Post by Big Bird »

We are going to Mc Kinney, Texas the first half of April. There will be 3 RV's on this trip and need a park within a half hour or so of Mc Kinney. On the web, I see nothing I like in Mc Kinney. It appears there are several parks in the Lake Lavon area. Has anyone been to this area and can they make a recommendation? As a guide, we really liked Jackson Ranchera and Grizzley RV park in Yellowstone.

Thanks,
Big Bird

The best Park I have stayed at in the DFW area is in Grapevine TX, called the vineyards but might be too far for you to travel. It is a city park but a fantastic set-up and very clean/well run. Website here: http://www.vineyardscampground.com/

We stayed at the KOA in Caddo Mills. About 15-20 minutes from Mckinney. Not a bad place.
