Looking for a nice, reasonable priced place to stay for 3 months in Nashville. I'm going to be working at Vanderbilt next. Any ideas?

Many many years ago we stayed at Two Rivers Campground, just north of Opry Land, on 2616 Music Valley Dr. It was nice at that time. It was convenient to town, had restaurants, nearby. Freeway was close too, and next to Camping World. My TL guide lists current rates at $28-$46. Try tworiverscamp@bellsouth.net. Sorry I cannot vouch for current conditions, but they seem to offer many amenities, like free wi-fi. (615)883-8559.

If the Cock O' The Walk restaurant is still one block north of the park, check it out. It was fun, and good Southern style cookin'. Catfish, hushpuppies, fritters, fried pickles and more. Probably not low cholesterol, but they do know how to fry it so good. If it is not fried in those parts, it is not cooked. The Hermitage, Andrew Jackson's estate, east of there is a worthwhile visit if you are looking for a nice day trip.
