Just tried out the newest Louisiana State park, Bogue Chitto near Franklinton. It has very large, spacious sites. The campground has 2 sections, upland and bottom sites along the Bogue Chitto creek. Peeped into the new bath house facilities which are single user shower, toilet, and lavatory in each. There are many marked trails for the explorers going into a gorge, nice boardwalks & steps. There are horse trails and an equestrian area for their loading / unloading. Each site has a nice pad with picnic table, a bbq pit, and fire rings. Campfires seem to be the norm and there is an abundance of wood laying all around in the woods for the picking; a small saw would be helpful. The roads are the only drawback. They are limestone and cause some dust. Don't wash your rig before you go, you'll need it afterwards. There is also a water park area for spring / summer time use and beach area. A day use area, nice cabanas all along the roadways near the waters. All in all, a great place and I shall return.

Thanks for the review Dwaine and Grace. That's exactly the kind of thing we like to hear about.
