Of all the RV parks you’ve stayed at this year, which one is your favorite?

For us we like nature so my vote would go for Buckskin Mountain State Park between Lake Havasu and Parker Arizona. It’s right on the Colorado River with great hiking trails and mountains that line the river on both the Arizona and California sides.

Well its a toss up for us. One was ABC in Branson, IN which I thought was a very nice park and the other more do to our site I think then the campground was the KOA in Moab, UT. That was for traveling this year but we still have several all time favorites. Winchester Bay, Boardman City Park to name a couple :d

I'm with you Jim.

I have to say our favorite discovery for 2012 was Riverside State Park near Spokane WA.

Deer Crossing Campground in San Patricio, New Mexico. It is a small park with just 15 sites and most of the people who stay there are there for a month to 3 months during the summer. It is only open April 1 to October 31. You definitely need to call for reservations or you could be turned away because they have no room, It happend to us the summer of 2011.

We stayed there for a week in late August and felt totally at home. The long term campers made us feel like we had been there for the whole season and the couple who own the RV Park are very gracious people. We bought and had roasted a bushel of Hatch Green Chilie while we were there and were peeling it on our picnic table and most of the other guests came around and checked out what we were doing. We chopped some of the chilie added some chopped garlic and tomato and warmed up some tortilla's and had a Hatch Chilie tasting and turned the Texans and Okies into New Mexico Green Chilie lovers!

Not anything like that John I am a wimp when it comes to the hot stuff so I buy the mild so no need for the antacids however they say a cold beer goes real well with it.

For the Southeast we really enjoyed 1.) Ivey Acres in Piedmont, SC (near Greenville) 2.) Moccasin Creek State Park in Clarksville, GA and 3.) River Plantation in Sevierville, TN near Pigeon Forge. Most of our camping was close to home this year. We also enjoyed camping on base at Charleston AFB, SC.
