Cypress Trail RV Resort

Post by RetiredFifthWheeler »

Last Saturday, Ruth and I made a reservation on a lot at the Cypress Trail RV Resort near Fort Myers, FL, just off exit 139 on I-75. Once the resort is completed and the state grants a certificate of occupancy, we will have the opportunity to puchase the specific lot we reserved. We find appealing the idea of having our own spot to use at our pleasure. These spots will also be available for rental when the owners aren't using them.

The picture below is us standing on our lot with the clubhouse complex in the background under construction. (The postal facility is to the left.) The lots are 35 x 90 feet with a 20 x 70 foot concrete pad (and a palm tree) planned for each site.

Looks great, from the location you standing looks like you have Lot 436 or 437.
When are they planning to have the sites ready?

The site map on the website is a little off. The developer increased the width of the sites from 30 to 35 feet in February and they don't have a new site map yet. We reserved site 436, hopefully right opposite the driveway. We're looking to make it easier to back in, lol.

They stated to us that they expect to qualify for a certificate of occupancy around June. Then they can send out contracts and we will decide to proceed or not. We were told this means that everything is substantially done. (Probably not all the RV sites, just those in phase 1.) We were also told they hope to have a grand opening in the fall.
