Is it just mine or do you guys fight with the 50 amp cord also.
My last camper was also 50 amp but it had a ruber cord that coiled up easy for storage, This one seems like a plastic coating on the cord and it just dont coil up to store it for travel.
I wish i could swap cords with my old unit.

I bought a 30 amp cord for mine. Leave the 50 amp in the bottom of the storage compartment just in case I need more length. No need for 50 amp unless you are running two ac's or washer and dryer.

On my next trip to CW I'm going to get one of those cords with the 30A male/50A female ends. In most cases 30A should be plenty, unless like Mike said we are running two ac's &/or a washer/dryer. That 50A cord FR supplies is a royal pain!!

Sounds like ya'll need some sunshine and warmth to soften those cords up a little. When I got our new 36-2BHLE I just laid the cord out on the ground for 3 to 4 hrs in the HOT FLORIDA sun and it becomes very manageable, Like the guy said a milk crate works great. just load it right RV recepatcle it the bottom and plug at the top. Leave about a 4 foot tail to reach to the recept. on the RV. and play put what you need to get to the power station, slide the crate under the RV, and UR good to go. Reverse the coil to re pack and place the RV plug in the middle, Also 303 protectant makes them pliable also and protects them too.
Have Fun packing it the first time !!!

They do make a yellow easy coil 50 amp cord but be prepared to take out a 15 year loan to pay for it.

$250.00

Mark/Kathy:

Are you saying 303 protectant will make a cold cord pliable?

I also bought the 50/30 adapter at camping world. I used the 30 amp cord last time--easier to coil. But, sure would be nice to just use the 50 amp cord if it would coil! Where do I get a milk crate? BTW, that adapter cost about $60! Must be the copper.

Mark j just paid $60.00 bucks for an adapter - WOW ! wish I hadn't spent $23.00 for both the 50/30 and the 30/110.
And they have to ask where to get a Milk Crate. - Guys! theyr'e available at each and every exit ramp off the interstate, you jus have to knock the BUM with the cardboard sign off it and theres the crate. Take 2 just incase you you buy the 30 cord - it will fit just right.
Thinking about it he probably bought a MARINE (marinco) cable with the 250% markup - Black cords work just fine- they don't show dirt.

Good Luck crate hunting!!!!

If it wasn't for my 50 amp cord I wouldn't get any excersize at all.

I want a 50 amp to 30 amp right off the Cardinal. I either need to find a short one or buy the parts and build my own.

These work great. A bit pricey but if you watch they may go on sale. I got ours for $54 on sale.

Hi Al, that's exactly what I did. I put a 50a trailer plug on the end of a 30a cable and it works great. I keep the old 50a cable coiled up tight and stored in the converter area out of the way but there in case I need it.
