Adding sleeping capacity

When I first ordered my Cardinal at the local RV show, the model on display was a 30WBLE which I copied and ordered. I upgraded a few items, as well as the swivel rocker recliners.

I remember at the time commenting to the sales rep that it looked to me a sofa could be put in place of the recliners, thereby increasing the sleeping capacity. My suggestion was pooh-poohed in short order.

Recently I began to entertain the idea more seriously and put my measuring tape to work. Judging from my measurements, I believe a 72" Flexsteel Easy Bed will fit just nicely in that area. The 2 local Camping World stores here sell just the one I want to use.

This year my daughter and her husband will not be able to attend or annual campout since they will be in Chicago on family business. So I get to host the grand kiddies! That extra sleeping space will sure come in handy.

To be sure those comfy recliners will be missed, but grampa is willing to give them up to get the kiddies all in-doors.

Has anyone tried this?

Have not tried replacing the recliners, but I did re-arrange and put my couch bed where the recliners used to be and vice versa. Worked well for me and as long as you have slide clearance go for it.
