I heard rumor (NOT from my selling dealer, though) that I could buy an additional year on the Forest River warranty for $100. Does anyone know about this? :?:

Tis true, if your dealer doesn't offer it...ask about it and if they play dumb...go thru your packet, a card should be in there to fill out and send in. If that isn't in your packet...call Forrest River, you only have x amount of time to take advantage of it after your purchase.

I called forest river. they said I was supposed to get the additional year coverage within 10 days! But, he's checking with his "boss" to make an exception for me. I'll let you know what they say.

I told him I heard about it on the chat line--NOT from my selling dealer! That seemed to motivate him some. Mark

Yeaaaa Mark...glad they are taking care of it for you. You are not the first person that has had this problem and it is not the first time they've heard that the dealer didn't mention it.

We were lucky with our dealer, when he was reading off the little perks they were "giving" us, they said they paid the extra year's warranty for us. We did end up having to have the furnace fixed in that second year.

I had a phone message from "Brad" that the necessary paperwork is being forwarded to me. I fill it out, attach a check for $100 and it's done! So, thanx for your input. Now let's hope that paperwork shows up! Mark

I was able to purchase the extended warranty three months after I bought the trailer. If I remember right it took a few weeks to get something back.
