Should I pump grease the zirks?

My new 31RK has maybe 5000 miles on it. We're towing another 2500 miles starting next week. I heard I'm good for at least the first 10000 miles. Does anyone think I should at least put 2-4 pumps in each wheel zirk?

Overgreasing can overheat bearings as well as blow out the seals. I would continue on and schedule a re-grease after the trip.

Hi Mark, if it were me I'd grease the wheels before going on the trip. Just be sure to use a hand pumped grease gun and go slowly.

BTW, were are you heading?

Hi Rob: We're going to the Redmond RV rally, then on to Yellowstone. Were you the one who was going to be at the rally? If so, maybe i'll see you there--we're early birders--in fact (stupid me) i'm leaving here at midnight to be able to arrive on site by 7:00 am to get the best spot. I understand it's first come first serve. Mark

No, where do I get one? Would the rally booth's have one? I'll be in Lot C. The bird's license starts with 26. (safety). I should be there around 7 am for the best possible parking--hope hope. mark
