George Thanks, I have double acting cylinders for the front and rear, I really didnt need them for the rear but that is what I found on Ebay cheep.
I plan to valve the rear cylinders indapendent for side to side leveling.
Should I do the same with the front or is it not necessery?
Did you run hose down the frame to the rear or did you use Steel line? I will need 3 lines I gues you only have 2.
I think Im going to replace the jacks I have now up front with the cylinders, The cylinders I got are 2.5 inch bore 1.5 inch rod and 24 inch stroke. I think the unit will be more stable useing the cylinders only. Then Im going to add a box tube to the cylinder side and a box tube to the foot pad that slides into it with holes so I can pin it incase a line leaks or blows out.
Im open to any and all input
I think Im going to convert my front landing gear

George, How high are they off the ground when thay are up? and how long of a stroke are they? The cylinders I got for the rear have a 17" stroke, I want them high enough so i dont hit going over a speed bump but low enough that they will do there job.

Hello Dave,
Keep the supports as close to rear wheels as you can and do not mount lower then bottom of axles.
That is the rule of thumb that the factory uses, when going over a bump the rear wheel raises and the frame and jack follows.
If you get a flat tire the jack is above the lower rim so it will not hit the ground during the flat.
Post some pictures of your mods.
Attached is a picture of the factory location of the rear jacks on the frame, look at how close the location is to the rear spring hanger.
