Hello All,

We are in the final stages of procuring a new 2008 Cardinal 37RL. We live in Minnesota and we are putting it on a seasonal site, we don't even have a vehicle that would move this honker anyway. I found the unit we are buying online through General RV in Michigan. The salesman says that getting warranty work done will be no problem. Is this accurate info? I have done a fair amount of research and I believe we are getting a nice RV at a reasonable price but it is a little daunting buying it sight unseen. Any advice?

I don't know about the warranty, but that is one nice rv. I love the private living area and the two refrigerators. Congratulations.

Welcome to the site and congrats on picking a really nice rig!

Our experience has been that when we had to get our rig back to the dealer for service - the service was good. But we have had to take the rig back for service.

Linda (aka Luzianna) has had warranty work done by a tech that comes to her to do the work. That may be something that you can look into before you sign on the dotted line that would ease your mind. We haven't found anyone in our area that is a Forest River tech AND a mobile tech - but it sure would be nice! :D

I'm sure Linda will chime in at some point....she usually does.

We just bought a new Bird in October, like you we also live in Minnesota. It would be great to get other local Cardinal owners together and learn from each other.

There is a Cardinal dealer just North of the Twin Cities in Anoka on Highway 10 Shorewood RV. The Service Manager --George is a great guy and very helpful.

Enjoy your new toy.

My experience with General is so-so. They won't make a move without consulting Forest River, but I have had better luck dealing with FR myself for timing and price and doing the work myself.
