2008 Changes coming on Cardinals

Post by bayoubengal »

Thought I'd let folks know about changes that are in the works. Our dealer was in Louisvile last week and came back with these changes.

We went to order our Cardinal 31 RKLE yesterday. We didn't finalize yet, the price jumped up a bit. But they have made some good changes. The axles are now 6000#, and you can get upgrades to 7000# on some models. GOODYEAR tires will now be on all models. The biggest dissappointment in that a Gewlcoat finish is now an option, an expensive one at that. Other standard extras; 12 gallon water heater; 9 cu ft fridge;w/d prep; docking station (outdoor hookups behind one door); elec rear stabilizer jacks, and elec awning (no remote or weather sensor)' Lazy Boy recliners; Hide-a-Bed Sofa w/air mattress; and some other smaller things.

The bedroom closet no longer is the length of the front, they have added a drawer unit and cut the dresser down. The TV slides out, I think this is similar now to most other models.

Now my issue w/CCC is a thing of the past. I am mulling over whether I want to pay 3,000 more for the unit. And that is after most of the options I was considering became standard.

Sounds like some nice changes. A lot of these changes people are making after they purchase the unit. Now there won't be anything to upgrade, just sit back and relax. 8) :D

The Gelcoat was always a option, we all been asking for better tires and we know they cost more. Some of the new options are great ones.

If you dealer does not want to deal more try shopping around and get what options you want, life is too short to settle for less.

Good Luck:

The Cardinal LE models have more options to choose from than the Cardinal models. Same units just the Cardinal comes will a few of the LE options as standard equipment for a higher cost. None of the options are free.

The dealers order the options for the units in their inventory that they think will sell.

Our dealer told us when we bought ours that they could order the LE with all the options at less cost than the Cardinal
