Looking at the Forest River description now, these are the differences that I notice without digging out the '07 pamphlet.

Big change from '07

Standard features:
16" Goodyear tires (incl spare)
Electric Awning
Large end wall windows in slider with end wall windows
Electric Stabilazier Jacks
TrailAir RotaFlex extended hitch*
Slide out selector switch (optional on two slide out models)

*Came up with this after a Google search:

http://www.tweetys.com/ProductImages/rv ... toflex.pdf

Options:

Artic Insulation
Boat Hitch
TrailAir Suspension

One could almost believe that someone at Forest River pays attention to the online forums. The changes to the Standard Features I notice have been the major topics over the last year, and are all good changes, except the big slider window, which I don't think I'd like. Plus I would of saved $1000 getting rid of the origional tires after I took delivery. For the Options it would have been nice to have had the Artic Insulation and perhaps the TrailAir Suspension available when I got my unit.

For the 30WBLE (since I have one), the floor plan is unchanged, full width closet, and overhead cabinets are still there, all good news.

(Putting fingers in ears and singing loudly so that I can't hear.)

These are all great changes - and definitely something I'd be interested in if we were looking for a new model. By the time we start shopping again, I expect the Cardinal bird will be sporting some gray feathers! :D

And for the ST vs LT tire discussion:

LT235-85R/16 tires are standard on all (Cardinal/LE) trailers with a GAWR of 14000# and greater from looking at the spec sheet.

ST tires differ in that they have rubber compounds which resist weathering, I picked that info up in either this months Trailer Life or Good Sam magazine.

Guess I'm good with the Michalin XPS LT235-85R/16 tires I used as replacements for the Kerrier ST235-80R/16 tires my trailer came with! :D :D

Here are some pictures of the new 2008 models.

The LE has round wood facing design on the inside slides, the wood is now closer to a Maple look then Oak.
True one piece molded countertops now a option, many more changes look at the pictures.
No more Concertone

George,

Thanks for the pictures of the new model!

What was the length of the trailer in the pictures? Martha and I liked the changes that they have made in the new model. It appeared that this rig only had two slides. One question was How much room do you have to maneuver through the trailer when the slide is in? I am assuming that the counter doesn't come out any farther than the one in the older units extended. Does the bench looking component in the closet have access?
