It can be a bummer, but it does give us 5 months to complete home improvement projects, spend lots of time with family, enjoy winter sports (skiing, sledding, snowball fights, tubing). Then when spring hits everyone just has to understand that we won't be available that much the rest of the year. I also find that I appreciate things more when I have to wait for them !!
Not with my bird - when it isn't providing a bed for the job, it is in a hunting or fishing camp somewhere. You meet some of the nicest people in the "OFF SEASON"...
