still no stick option. I really like these trucks and might even consider a used one once the motor is proven but still not sold on automatic and towing. Maybe I am just to much of a control freak. Truck does look sharp and love the interior.

Travelers, all you got to do is order the work truck version, cloth bench seats, etc.

Flat black doesn't look good with glossy black.
I would like more creture features too. AC, heated seats, a comfortable ride, etc.

They have these automatic doing all the thinking for you, the days of a stick have gone away.
With the new trucks the Auto tranny is what makes driving effortless.

The new 6 speed Ford tranny has a Manual mode in addition of the normal and Tow/Haul modes now if you care to use it. If they had "shift paddles" on the steering wheel it'd be like driving one of the newer sport coupes or a F1 race car!

I don't doubt it at all. Just to many years working on computers and know they will give you trouble someday.

When I moved the DrawTite Signature 18K hitch and rails from the F250 to the F350 and had the in-bed trailer connector installed it cost much more at a Reese Authorized installer (labor only, no parts except the wire and socket needed) then what Ford is charging for the factory fifth wheel/goose neck prep package ($370). Checking on the Ford Truck Enthusiast site I discovered the Ford hitch is the Reese Elite hitch, which replaced the Reese/DrawTite Signature series, BUT you can still use a Signature series hitch on the Elite rails with this:

With the cost of the kit, the cost is close to what I paid before, until you add in the cost of two 140 mile round trips to get the removal/install done and sitting around for a few hours while the work is completed. Plus I wouldn't need to buy a new hitch at $1300+. I don't charge myself for my labor to install the kit!

Yeah Rob, there might be a new truck coming. When are we gonna hear about yours?

THAT I keep! Transfer Flow has a dealer in the Victorville area to do a swap. Best darn truck accessory I've ever bought! I've been hinting to the owner of the Ford dealership he should take on a Transfer Flow franchise.

I have seen on Ford literature that they have discontinued the 6.8 ltr V-10 engine. Now offer only the new diesel and a large V8 engine (approx 371 cu. in.). Have not heard reviews on the V8. Obviously the diesel is best for our towing needs. Just FYI.

I'll be due for a new work truck in a year or so, from what I've heard the new 6.2 gas engine is a brute. Hope I get a Ford to replace a Ford, it's nice having a truck which keeps on going when the mileage is way over 100,000 miles ('08 F250 5.4) under what is considered "Extreme Conditions". All I need to do is get the 5,000 mile OLF and tire roatation completed and add gas. Never had that happen with the Brand X trucks I've had previously, 80,000 miles and they started falling apart, every trip to the shop was a $1,000+ bill to the Railroad and one or two days where I wasn't getting any work done.
