While I don't have the Patriot, I have the B&W Companion which is basically the same hitch from the rails up and I've been happy with it. It is made in the USA and I've heard good stories about support from the company. If you take your hitch out frequently, and want a clean bed floor after you do, then you might consider installing the B&W turnover ball hitch and get the Companion.

Here is my Companion:

When I want to take it out I pull the hitch head off, loosen the draw down bolt and pull a release lever between the tires and wheel well on the drivers side of the truck. After that it just lifts out.

Dave I seem to remember some one in the club having the Patriot but don't remember who it was.

Like John I have the Companion and have used it for over 7 years and have been very happy with it.
