Well I ended up oredering a 08 F350 4X4 DRW KING RANCH instead on the F450. I was concerned about the top speed of the F450 andwasnt going to be stuck doing 80mph. Also I think the ride was better in the 350 too. Now I wait.!!

Congratulations on your new TV Joe. Now the hard part, waiting. I'm not surprised that the F350 would have the better ride since the F450 has a suspension to carry 6000#. Be sure to spend some time and miles breaking the truck in. There are long term benefits to a proper break-in.

Jim I was wondering if you were have any of the regen problems with the cat? I hear they just came out with a re-flash but don't know as of yet if it cured the problem.

A-men! I am a FORD girl. Came home from the hospital in a brand new 1965 F150 even though I was born Dec of 64!
Anyways..I love the new integrated tail gate on the new fords..and of course the way they drive and the way they look!
EXCEPT when we blew that turbo seal thingy while I was driving. We got it fixed under warranty Astoria Ford gave us a free rental and so far all is good. Oh ya. Even when the truck blew the diesal seal thingy the truck CONTINUED to pull our trailer safely to our campspot!

I'm pulling the same trailer with an '05 F350 FX4, DRW, King Ranch-6.0 PSD so you shouldn't have any problems, espescially living on the east coast where you don't really have "mountains" to speak of....

I've certainly had my share of maintenance issue with this truck- mostly electrical, some powerplant stuff, but I have a very aggressive service advisor so lots and lots gets done under warranty before i even know it's a problem. I added a 50 gallon low profile in the bed Transferflow tank because that 36 gallon tank just doesn't hack it at 9-10 MPG towing. Also, we travel to Kalifornia fairly often- I pay $2.84 for diesel in AZ, and $3.19 in San Diego so it pays off...

The King Ranch interior and amenities are real nice....

On my way home from Chattanooga with the truck I got 13mpg on the c1st 2 tankfulls. Hopefully itll get better but dont really care cause the truck is awesome.
