2013-2017 Dodge 3500 6.7L recall

Post by watkinsk »

I saw on the news that Chrysler-Fiat issued a recall this week for over 500,000 heavy duty Rams with the 6.7L engine. Not sure of the details but the problem was due to a water pump starting fires.

There have been no fires but the potential does exist if the bearing overheats . I think it is 13-15 models.

Yes mine went out with 45k on it,it froze up in the driveway. They replaced it and I also got a notification recall for the water pump. I work part time at Ram dealership and service dept won't have any parts till the first of the year.
