Well with a new truck comes all kinds of questions. One of which is the following. I am reading the Chevy Trailer Tire pressure Monitoring system owners manual. Chevy supplies the 4 tire monitors and it then goes into the truck computer for display on the screen. It has all the functions of other TPMS. Heat , low air ect. However what has given me pause is the manual says it needs a wheel opening of the wheel can only be 0.453 in or 11.43 mm. Where do I find this out for my Cardinal 3456 model? if it is the wrong size then we get leaking air from the tires. Secondly, in reading further the TPSM only goes to 100 lbs psi. Well as most of you know the current trailer tires are going from 100 to 125 lbs psi, is it saying the system will not read the higher numbers?

Does anyone have any ideas????

.453 is the stem bore needed for all car and most truck and trailer wheels. The larger isn't usually found until larger trucks & semi trailers. As far as the 100psi I would assume that they will not read higher than that I know on my truck it just says high if the tires go higher.

Rick get hold of a young kid they can probably reprogram the Chevy system to allow you to adjust the transmitters to 110 PSI. I know when I have issues with my phone I get my 15 year old granddaughter or 12 year old grandson to help me.
