Carrying a motorcycle

Post by campswithcritters »

Does anyone carry a motorcycle on the front of the TV? I am considering a dual purpose motorcycle and want to carry it on a front mounted reciever hitch. I've seen truck campers do it for years and wondered if it affects cooling. I don't want to add length to the 5er or disturb pin weight (on an already heavy rig) by adding a reciever to the trailer, and I am well under my allowable front axle weight as well as under GCVWR. Yeahs or Nays? Previous nasty experiences?

Gee Bruce I think you've answered your own question. As you said you're well below your GCVW and having it on the trailer bumper certainly isn't going to add any weight to the hitch, though I'm sure you well below your carrying weight also.

I say stay away from the front bumper. Let the engine have all the air it can get.

Just a thought.
