All three brands have advanced to the point where its so easy to get loyal to each product. Yup! I said the THREE manufacturers. Hope this truck is quiet in the hills so I won't have to reply back Monday and say." I have to eat crow over the truck sound."
Three brands? I kinda like my 4th brand as it has some of the best features of all "Big Three".
1. Shares the engine design of the Ram
2. Shares the trans design of the Bow Tie
3. A frame even heavier than the Blue Oval.

And, Can't get into tight, USFS campground spots. I started my front hubcap "crunch" collection with the first trip with the "Beast" in a USFS campground! With some effort I can get the Bird into most of the spots, but it was easier with the shorter wheelbase F250.
OBTW, replacement hubcaps are $45 ea from Ford for the Beast.
Someday I'll find lugnut covers. Till then I guess I'll order some spare hubcaps to have some on hand when I get home! =))

Yeah there is some give & take. :-? Don't forget first scheduled OH at 500K miles.

Chief, I don't have 4 wd, but I would easily challenge any pick-up to a turning radius check. The Freighshaker has 55 deg steering, seems like the front end moves sideways when at full left or right stops. I can get it into (and out of) tight spots.

Hey guys, I just got back in town after a quick trip up to Fayetteville,Arkansas. Got to admit some things from my first trip through the mountains with the new truck:
A.Sirus radio is a must when you are so far from regular radio stations. :D
B. The Quiet truck stayed quiet over the mountains and back. :D
C. The Six speed transmission was awsome on flat land and going up the mountains. :D
D. I 'm not sure about the shift patterns when I was decending down the mountains. I had to apply a slight pressure to the gas peddle to keep it from down shifting just to coast down some of the smaller grades. :?
E. DRW's Rule! Sorry SRW guys. I can say this with an open opinion since I just traded. :)
F. It's Beer- thirty. :D

Yes, it was a short but great weekend. I 'm gearing up for another one too. heheheh This camping stuff is so addicting! I pulled my LE 33 up to Elkins,Ark up and down some pretty sttep inclinds. Since we did not have reservations,we drove the truck over and checked out the Devil's Den camp grounds. Really nice but if you have a trailer over 26', you have to use the north entrance. Sorry I didn't take any pictures--my bad. :(
