Air Lift compressor

Post by WVcampers »

I want to install the Air Life bags on the rear of the truck. I am not sure what air compressor system I should use. What is the difference between the system I and system II ? Do I need the $150 or $250 system.

You will most likely find that the higher cost compresser produces more CFM (more air), but if you only filling you air bags the cheaper unit will work great.
If you have a supply air tank and using air for other reasons all the time go with the larger Heavyduty unit.

I am not all that knowledgeable on it because my system did not have a compressor but I think the difference between the system 1 and system 2 is that system 2 allows you to control each air bag individually while the system 1 controls both bags together.

They make single path and dual path air supply in both controler I and II. Single path fills both air bags together, dual path can fill one air bag at a time with different pressures when needed.

Control system ( I ) is stardard Heavy duty system.
Load Controller ( II ) On Board Air System, Economical, popular, basic On Board Air System

This is our most popular compressor and air control system for trucks, vans, and SUVs. The basic system controls rear bags together for front-to rear leveling; the dual-path model controls the springs independently for side-to-side and front-to-rear leveling. All kits include our exclusive wiring harness for fast, easy installation. To eliminate the major cause of air spring failure, our Low Pressure Sensor automatically activates if pressure falls below the minimum safe level.

• Easy to install
• Includes complete instructions
• Pre-assembled wiring harness, electronic sensor system, and compressor.
• Two year warranty (see Warranty Page)

Load Controller II leveling systems
• P/N 25812 Dual Path Side-to-side and front-to-rear leveling
• P/N 25592 Single Path Front-to-rear leveling (Similar to 25812, but with single gauge dash panel. Inflates both air springs equally. Ideal for SUVs, vans, and cars.)

Thanks, I ordered the heavy duty. I really don't know why, it just looked more like an air compressor. Since my Dodge does not have the overload springs I think these bags will help alot.
