I'm sure you could buy this pickup for a lot less than what that sticker has on it. If not, they can keep it. In California with the registration and sales tax you would be pushing up towardsthe 70k range. I know I won't ever be able to afford that kind of cost for a new tow vehicle.

7800 for a new never tested diesel. At least it isn't a navistar boat anchors as many of you 6.0 have been plagued with. Hope it is better motor b/c ford is proud of it. Not sure if any one heard but the 2011 silverado has urea injection :(( and it has to be refilled ever 700 or 1500 miles. I'l stick with my old dirty technology not mater how nice fords actual truck is. It is pretty and the option are nice but i'm with everyone else. 60K =))

They all will have the DEF system and its urea fill up every 3500 to 7500 miles depending if you are towing for the chevy. Cant say i like that part either but even the big boys will have it.

I stumbled across this truck tonight and I WANT one of these! www.InternationalTrucks.com/MXT.

The International MXT, cant' afford it but it looks really cool. It sounds like International does not make them anymore. Who knows, could be a collector some day. For sure it would be a head turner pulling a bird. Drool, Drool Drool! I wonder what kind of mileage it gets and how it would tow a bird? At 80 to 90K it's a lot of money but I seen a 2010 F-450 on the lot for 63K with 8000 miles, so it's only money.

The Dodge does not use the urea injection and does not have a tank to refill. They have a cannister that may need to be emptied on occasion.

I test drove a new 2010 Dodge Ram while my truck was being serviced last month. The 2010 had most of the bells an whistles and was priced in the hi 50's. Since my truck has everything the new one had except for the 6.7 engine and only has 44K miles I don't see any need to change trucks and add more payments to my life.
You guys looking at the 2011's better get ready for the EGF adder.

All the new rigs are looking nice, then they always do!

But I think I'll stay with my '09 SD with the 6.4. Unless I'm towing it doesn't get many miles, plenty of power, the 6.4 has a fairly good rep for reliability, and all the bell's and whistles are on the truck. I just wish the mpg was better, but with all the smog equipment, that's not gonna happen. I'm considering an aux tank/tool box to compensate. I was hoping the '11 with the new diesel would get better mpg, and it does, but not much better from what I've read. Besides the Beast will be paid for about the time I retire! :thumbrt:

Well, after a month...the dealer got Ford to pay $400 towards the repairs on my F450. Replaced the oil cool (2nd time) and installed an aftermarket EGR cooler D kit( 2nd time failure). Also have a sediment filter kit to install. Seems to run okay. Including the Ford help the whole deal was well over $1500. Just so tired of this truck dumping on me. Very disappointed. Oh well, See what happens...

I hate to hear 6.0L diesel issues and Ford not helping out. I just got mine back. I knew the injectors were mis-firing and thought I would need to replace them. (been there, done that the first year the 6.0L came out). The issue was the injector driver module. So now its all tuned up; all new filters and fluids (engine, trans and fuel) and ready to pull the Bird. 29k mile and 3 months left on the warranty.

I'm supposed to get a 2011 dually to slide under the Bird for measuring purposes. We'll see.
