Supposed to have it here in front of the trailer by Friday 25 March, I will post some pics but not much time to go play before return to work. Once this thing is finally done and I know I can travel with it (get the bugs out) I'll try to set up some type of get together for the southern region in late fall or early next spring for actual show & tell. Other than that if you are not between me & the UP of Michigan (summer trip) not many viewing opportunities, sorry.

Well Mark we hit a snag along the way, seems the truck would not start after sitting overnight. We lost almost 2 weeks while Freightliner troubleshot the systems. After replacing all the orings in the injectors, replacing 2 fuel lines with microscopic cracks, changing the pressure regulator/check valve on the back of the head it still would not start. FL finally bit the bullet and installed 6 new injectors so she fires up like a champ. Can not raise too much trouble as all that was done on Freightliner's dime and I basically have a new fuel system. Today was the second day it started properly so back to the bed build. Exhaust was changed from stack to weedburner (under truck outlet) today and main part of bed installed. Remaining is finishing up wiring including relocation of batteries for better access, reverse camera, bed lighting, and trailer hookups. Installation of tilt bed loader and odds & ends. They say middle of the week, after so many set backs I no longer hold my breath and turn blue though!
I think they need it done though as the builder says he needs to finish to get paid as he is tired of rolling bologna slices in tortillas! =)) =))

Sounds like my General Contractor when the Bank was delaying insurance payments while we were building the new "Bricks and Sticks" after the old house burnt down.

I knew when I took this on that none of it (design, build, and bringing a fleet truck up to par) would be easy, for once I was right. Here is a pic of the laid down exhaust and one of the plate at rear of frame that the trailersaver hitch will mount to. Notice I said rear of the frame for hitch mount, due to the length of this rig mounting the hitch rearward will cause the trailer to follow more like a travel trailer with less cut into the inside of the turn. The pin weight being behind the axles is not an issue for a truck this heavy, especially one with a car forward of those axles. This whole operation has been quite a learning curve with a lot of research involved.

Everything is looking good and coming together, take your time and get it right the first time before hitting the road.

Although you sure have more trust in a rig then me, once I know of a problem even after they fix it I cannot keep my mind off of it while traveling.
I would make myself sick waiting for the fuel to stop flowing the whole trip.
I had the factory air system tube blow out twice on my new truck while pulling the camper and it just about ruin the whole trip for me.
I completely redesigned the whole factory system to get piece of mind after the GMC dealer could not correct the problem, one more mishap and it is a new GMC dually like John (Traveler) has for me and I only have 9,000 miles on my truck.

I think that is why I do not like to go on long trips because of the fear of being on the side of the road.
