Still needs the alloy wheels mounted on the back, & I think he is doing some type of closeout panels between the ground effects and the forward end of the bed. Then some rhino lining etc.

Looking gooooooooood! I bet that Smart car is going to get really good mpg riding piggyback. :lol: Could you have the beginnings of better fuel economy for everyone, who needs a hibred!

Bruce, do you back it up onto the truck or does it get pulled up with a winch.
If you have to drive it up that is got to be one scary ride up and down.
Take some more pictures.

George was only the first load, a practice & test really, but this picture of the remote controlled winch should answer your question. The reciever it is mounted on comes off & unplugs to store in the toolbox below it. Note that in that same toolbox you can see the air valves controlling the airbag lifting the tilt portion of the bed. Slow regulated feed to avoid it becoming a Smart Catapult.

On a side note did I see a post saying that you were just going to hook up all of the 5rs going to Alaska and pull em up there like a train? It'll only be 20 or so. What do ya think? :)) :ymcowboy:

Mike that is part of the finishing up we are working on. Considering either wheel basket straps or straps right through the wheels themselves. Installing a 9 inch tall wheel stop at the back wheels tomorrow so it can never be over-winched.
I figure if we got it on so easy, holding there not too much work.

Bruce, the over the tire basket is the best to prevent wear on the strap because it spreads the surface contact over the complete top of the tire.
Looking at it from an engineering design side.
