Airflow Tailgate - Weight

Post by mopar25 »

Trying to manage the GVW on the TV (2001 Ram 2500) and wonder how much weight difference there is between a stock tailgate, with bedliner attached, and one of the lightweight airflow type tailgates. Thanks for any input.

Hijack.
A few of those attending the Yellowstone rally had the opportunity to purchase a Tailgate Easy Lift from PlugIt Right. Roy and I installed mine in less than 30 minutes. Talk about making it easy to lift the tail gate.
un hijacked. :D

ditto the easylift. my silverado came with a stock tailgate lift assist. Not as good as the easylift. I added the easylift and now, between the two of them, the thing is nearly weightless.
