Speeking of low gears The new 6 speed auto They put a super low reverse gear in. I know i will like that backing into sites and up my driveway with the 40 footer.
I'm glad to hear that they have added a low reverse gear - the reverse gear on my truck is ridiculously tall - you have to feather the clutch to the point that you start to get a smell if you're trying to ease her back with the trailer on...
the low reverse is in the 6 speed auto, I dont know what the hand shaker is.

Yeah, I know - I'm hoping the same thing happens to the manual...

I have the 05 Dodge 2500 with the manual and 3.73 rearend. 1st gear is very low but I've never had to feather the clutch on an incline. If you just slowly let the clutch out the computer will automatically raise the rpms to match the demand. Never even touch the gas when launching.

Absolutely...I was referring to reverse. If you let the clutch engage completely in reverse, you will be moving at a speed far too high to do any fine maneuvering...my experience anyway.
