I use about 27 to 35 lbs with 2500 pin weight. Just enough to level when hitched.

I had air lift bags on my previous 3/4 ton Chevy. I haven't decided yet if the new 2011 Chevy Duramax/Allison will need them. I will need to hook up and go for longer than from the winter storage facility to decide. :thumbrt:

I have only towed around 2,400 miles with mine but it hardly touches the over loads so im going to hold off for now.

They shouldn't be needed on a 1-ton. If I had it to do all over again I would replace the 2" blocks between the springs and axle with the 4" blocks that come on the F-350 and not use air bags.

Yep, I drove mine for about 5 months before I put the air bags on. I just wanted another 1-2" to get the level right were I wanted it. If I had the 4" blocks, instead of the 2", it would have been the perfect height.

I towed my trailer last weekend with 40 lbs in my Airlift and it was too stiff. I lowered the pressure to 30 and it rode good.

My setup uses a Firestone with compressor that I manually adjust. Generally, 10 pounds when empty, 45 when towing. My TT has a tongue weight of 1,400#. System works great. I also ran the tubing to the license plate. It takes the place of the top right screw. Should the pump stop I can still add pressure and no one kinows it's there. Cheers! :))
