Already got May planned - MidWest rally. :d In June we'll be east for the East rally and visit NYC. :d July - not sure. August - National Rally. :d
And that's assuming fuel stays close to where it's at today.

Hi John
Now that you have some miles on that truck I would be interested in hearing your opinion about dully wheels. Does the stability benefit out way the difficulty of parking lots? What was your mp(def)? Did you find it difficult to purchase?

Def is available in parts stores, truck stops, dealerships and so on last year when i towed to the rally in Yellowstone i had almost 4,000 most towing and still did not get the 1,000 mile warning. I cary two gallons of DEF with me on long trips just in case.

Ya'll using DEF might check on the price at Speedco, they are a chain of quick lube centers for OTR trucks. I was in one last summer in OKC and they had it on sale for under $4 per gallon, don't know what your dealers charge but all oils were cheaper there than Wal-mart.

This my 4th dually. My first 4x4 crew cab long box. The first 3 were super cab 4x2 short boxes. I like the stability on a windy day. I like the respect given by cars. :d With this new locking hitch, I have to get up on the tire to lock it. I would have to do the same on a srw. I carry a milk crate.

Now parking lots are OK. In a typical lot I'll take 4 spots. I don't mind the walk and keep an umbrella stored just in case. Even if you park close and make your spot a pull thru, MOST people won't park next to you. The exception is those with Smart cars. They want to park in your shade. :d A small car will get in the spot behind you. Now in Texas, they do everything bigger. And that includes parking lots. Dually's park side by each and there is a still a foot to the yellow line. :d

DEF - Luv's had it for $28 for (2) 2 1/2 gallon containers in a pack. The dealership is $15 per gallon. The tank holds 5.4 gallons. I keep 2 1/2 gallons inthe rig and 2 1/2 gallons in the garage.

15.00 at the dealership  Its 4.95 per gallon here at the dealership and anywhere else you buy it. Just make sure you use your extra gallons up near the end of summer since they do have a shelf life.
