Ernie, we're pulling out this morning. Starting to head North. I should have paid more attention. Sorry.

With the forecast for mid 90's at the CG, we headed to S Padre Island for the day. It was much cooler - 74*. Surf was up as it was driven by 30+mph winds.

John and Diann, Last year when we went to Texas we went to Matagorda SP out on Matagorda Peninsula. A beautiful place, we meet Double D, Dennis & Donna and had a great time. I would highly recommend going there.

Torben, Thanks for the tip. First time here in South Texas and using our C2C for all of the CGs. Not sure about the state parks as most seem to be length limited. We're learning and will have more experience for next year. We are meeting Donna and Dennis Saturday.

Mark, chilly down here tonight. Might hit 55*. :)) :)) :))

John,
If you think you might want to try a state park but are concerned about length you might try calling the park you are interested in and ask. The Texas state parks we've stayed in have been able to handle the rigs some our church group have.

I'll back that statement, been in many that say 45 ft max with over 60 ft and did fit. Everything is big in Tx even the length of a foot.

Hey Bruce: Didn't you guys stay in Atlanta S.P. with the bird and Miss Ellie? Or was it the goose back then? You fit just fine in the pull throughs there....

Been to Atlanta SP with both trucks & no problem. I had plenty space in the pull-throughs, no way I could fit the backins, only went off season when park is empty. May need some practice to fit the Critter Cruizer in there though, if they ever finish it. Getting set for paint soon, they plan to start sand blasting tomorrow evening.

Sounds like they could use a project management course.
