2011 GMC 3500 Dully Denali

Post by Olbird »

Now that the new 2011 GM trucks have so much more power and increased towing capacities it was time for me purchase a new TV.
I need to get 500 miles on it before I can hook up to the trailer.

Cute little truck George! :ymdevil: Just kidding, I know the HP & Tq numbers are way up from the MDT and it's lighter to boot. Should do a fine job for your use. :thumbrt:

BTW, just glancing at the photo you need to get some mud flaps on it to keep the road rash down on your beautiful trailer.

It is going to be very nice to have a truck bed I can use again, the Medium Duty truck was great handing the load at the time of purchase with a exhaust brake because it was the only beast in town to purchase.
Well the playing field changed in 2011 when they increased the tow rating and added all the power and exhaust break. My old truck could still haul 2,000 pounds more in a gross rating combine (truck and trailer) but the truck was about 2,300 more heavy so trailer load rating is about the same and this engine will tow faster up the hill.
Now Mike will not be waiting for me at the top of the hill.

George -
There must be something in the air here in the Pacific NW. Last weekend I purchased a 2011 Chevy 3500HD Dually, but mine is black! I'll post a picture when I get the running boards on next week. Yeah, I'm driving in circles so I can get to the 500 mile mark too.
