Now THAT'S Ford Tough!

Good looking rig, what is under the hood, a 460?

Looks like a "ground up" rebuild to me. Extended track front axle, wide rims, beautiful body job, the "Hot Rodder" in me says "it gotta be". No "West Coast" mirrors and co-phase CB antenna's though! ;)

maybe they opted for a 428 due to the 460 wouldnt mate to any tranny for a few more years.. unless they did even more work and did a tranny transfer swap. or even a body on a later model swap...my dad is dreaming of a mid 60's cab on his 95 chassis and motor. hmmmmm...would've been great to see in person

after a zoom view, my guess is a frame swap, looks like an f350 4x4 chassis possibly 93 to 97--- the dana 60 front and hub style along with the shackles in the front of the front springs and the flat arc of the front leafs along with the position of the stabilizer and direction of the tie rods.....could be earlier but i have a feeling

Matt, I think you hit it. Also, look at the rear shock mount. It would also explain the custom built body. Nice job!
