Sounds pretty good Jeff. You're a little lower than me but you have dual rear wheels and different gearing. Just wait until it gets broken-in! :d

Have you had a chance to get some pictures for Mike showing the instantaneous mileage display?

Nice Jeff! According to onstar my overall average is now 15 mpg. Not bad for a 9,000 lb truck plus all of the towing in the last 17 months.

Tried once on a back road but the sun was in the windshield - too much sun glare, so I deleted 'em. I'll give it another shot tomorrow, I'll be making a dump run in the morning and shouldn't get the sun glare.

Not bad at all! The learning curve for the ULSD and all the smog seems to be steeper then it was with unleaded and smog, thank God!
We're now seeing MPG that was pretty common not too many years ago, before the EPA jumped on diesel trucks. And getting stock power that most of us only saw in a magazine article about custom builds to boot! And the new tranny's, engine braking, Rolls Royce interiors ... B-)

And some of mine! :))

With the Chevy and Ford figures being so close now, it comes down to "Lip's or not to Lip's". =)) :ymapplause:

Where are the RAM guys?

Ok guys make me the butt of the jokes on this one, my high MPG 9.5 EMPTY my low MPG 5.95 (25,500 lb load against 35 mph headwind at 65 mph while climbing 4,500 ft). But my average mpg with this truck (under 300 miles empty the rest towing 4,430 miles total miles) is 7.75. I figure not bad for the load and I have idled it 15 hours in that time for cool downs, warm ups, and cab climate control in that period. Sure does feel like a big ole Cadillac out on the road! Not so good in small parking lots, but I'm learning! :ymcowboy:

Over the years B&H Photo has gotten a lot of my money but I have no regrets except the EOS 3 film camera I bought for $800 i can not sell for even a quarter of what I paid for it! Seems nobody is shooting film, Go figure!

All nice info, but, all of us Ford and Chevy guys have posted about how well our new trucks are doing. But we're missing some input from the RAM (Dodge) people.

Trying to be unbiased here.

Bruce, you should get to factor in the use of your smart car in your overall average mpg since you carry it with you while towing. The rest of us use our tow vehicle to get around with at destinations which raises the overall average. :thumbrt:
