Just like waiting for Santa when you were a kid, isn't it? I just got back from a trip to Lafeyette with mine and I love it. :x

Just not soon enough. It will be a cost savings in the fuel expense column.

You got that right, John. I was perfectly happy with mpg on my '06, but have picked up 15 to 20% with the new one. And it's a lot more fun to drive. I'm one happy camper! :bounce:

I loved my '06 too. Quite a change in technology with the newer trucks. I've noticed a few of the trucks around the office with color keyed front ends. Only the two horizontal bars are chrome.

They received a shipment of 20 new trucks for the mine at Boron today (used to be US Borax), but my truck didn't make it with that shipment. It's sitting at the distributation yard in the LA area right now, so it's ALMOST HERE! :d Jeff
Gee Jeff, when I saw there were new post I thought for sure it would be you with your new truck. But it is getting closer! :thumbrt:

Just got off the phone with the Sales Manager. Taking Bubba in for the appraisal tomorrow morning, Monday he'll run the paperwork into the Credit Union. Possibly Tuesday the new truck will be in. :D

Another call from the Sales Manager just now, paperwork is complete, all I need is the truck to be delivered to the dealership, then it's sign on the line, swap keys and go (after I get the Transfer Flow tank pulled out of Bubba, of course). So Tuesday or Wednesday! Isn't ordering a truck so much more fun then grabbing one off the lot? Christmas in November!

A plug for a salesperson who "Go's Over and Beyond", Tim Fay at Kiefe and Sons Ford in Mojave, CA. I've bought 3 new Super Duty trucks from Tim, a 2005 F250 FX4, 2009 F350 FX4 Tow Boss and now the 2012 F350 Lariat FX4. Each time Tim has made sure all the paper work, credit and finance, delivery - EVERYTHING was taken care of. And got all the discounts, lowest financing and the best trade in value possible. If you live in the area, go to Mojave and ask for Tim. :thumbrt:

I'VE GOT IT! :d

Terry and I just got back home with the new truck, after a 50 mile cruise of course. Love the truck! There is enough buttons on the steering wheel, and panel to make a fighter jock feel right at home! And fun, no turbo lag, tranny shifts smooth, plus after 22 miles of cruising at 75 mph/2000 rpm, 10 miles at 60 mph and 8 miles at 35 - 45 mph the average mpg is 16.7! A 56% improvement over the 9.4 mpg I'm used to seeing. This is so nice! :d

Now to dig into the NATOPS, I mean Owners Manuals, and figure out what all those buttons really do!
