Actually Randy, I believe the Ford SB is 6 3/4 feet and as you know every inch counts. :d

I may have to find a SB and take some measurements.

Randy, any chance of you measuring the distance from the rear window to the near edge of the king slot of the hitch on your truck for me?

OK, Rob. It is dark here so a found a flashlight and a tape, went outside to the truck, folded the tonnau cover back and then realized that the hitch is sitting on the car port =)) =)) . But after a few measurments it is 35" in the towing position. The hitch will slde 9". The one thing that made this enjoyable is that I got to use the tailgate step that Chevy and Dodge don't have :thumbrt: . I love that "ole mans" step.

Well I have a step and don't even have to put the tailgate down to use it. :p

LOL, thanks Randy that was nice of you to do that. :thumbrt:

I went and measured the distance from the king pin to the front corner of the trailer and came up with 48". As you imagine that's about 90^ from the front of the trailer.

Thanks again Randy.

If I don't put the tailgate down I have a step build into the bumper. :d

Heck, I've got the 'ol man step, the bumper step, plus the side stepp'n tire step! =))

I noticed the dually tire flare on the 2011/12 Ford's has shrunk. That makes it easier to get to the hitch, trailer plug, aux tank and toolbox if you're shorter then 6 foot.
