That's good news, most all brands prior to 2008 needed a little spring support in the rear.

David, is your truck a long bed or short bed?

Rob beware. Why would someone driving a GMC have the X plan for a Ford?

Randy, it may have a lot to do with that John works for Ford in engineering.

NOW you brought it up, the bigger question I would ask myself is why would a FORD engineer purchase a GMC ? :-ss :-ss :-? :-?

Thank you to those of you who offered me the F&F discount. I am told the deal I got was better than the F&F discount, so it did not apply. I am told the F&F discount gets the price down to $120 over invoice. We started out at $500 UNDER INVOICE. I also got $500 more than the best trade in offer. I also got $500 more than the best discounted deal on extended warranties I had previously found. The deal was not for the faint of heart.

First impressions on the two hour ride home:
On good roads (NC), the truck rides better than my old one.
On VA roads (bad) the new truck rides WORSE than my old one. Very stiff
The diesel is quieter than my old one
The technology is INCREDIBLE!
This weekend, we drove over two and 1/2 hours from mtns to flatland and got 20.3 MPG. I was behind tractor trailers much.

New Truck; 2011 F-350 Super Duty Diesel, Crew Cab, 4x4, Lariat

Again, thank you to the kind ford members on this site.

Got 4x4 dually. The ride is rough. Neck hurts, back hurts. May have to switch for a 4x2. Don't know how that will work. The ride was great in NC, it sucks on VA roads.
