You guys...

OK you asked for it. :d

I went out for a road trip today to points south to put some miles on before my first tow next Thursday.

Here's a photo of the truck along side the road near Mt. Rainier.

And what really impress is this:
Image
The number in the box is the average MPG since I reset it when leaving the dealer with 15 miles on the truck. Of the miles you're seeing 70 are freeway miles and the rest country road miles with lots of curves and of course hills near the mountain.
The bars to the left show MPG for the last 5 minutes in 1 minute increments from right to left.

And just for fun I selected another screen:
Image
I was going down a hill and as you can see it shows about a 3* slope.

So far I'm very impressed. I'm also installing a BakFlip cover just like Mike has and it will be here tomorrow.

Rob

P.S. I'm sure the mileage will improve with age. =))

Very nice Rob, great mileage for a new truck. :thumbrt: If you are getting the bakflip like mine pick up a couple flat 2 foot long bungee cords to keep it in the open position while towing.

Nice truck Rob. I see it has the off road package and the chrome package. I like the wider steps that come with the chrome package. Does it have the 5th wheel hitch package and the tailgate step? I know You will really like the brake controller.

I like the wider step too Randy. I don't have the hitch package. Before I picked up the truck they sprayed the bed with a bed liner called Full Metal Jacket and then transferred my old hitch to the new truck. I do like the brake controller it's the same as I had in my 2005 except now the gain display is on the information screen instead of above the paddles.
