SSBC 8-Piston Disc Brake System

Hello Folks,

I was looking at upgrading my brakes and was looking at the 8-Piston Disc Brake Systems from SSBC. I was wondering what others thought of them. I only plan on installing a set on either the front or rear. Which end would be more effective?

Hi Patrick. There are a few members that have had disc brakes installed on their trailers and are very happy with them. It sounds like you want half disc and half brake shoes. Will that even work? I'll be interested in what other members think.

If you're going to put performance brakes on the truck I would think they should go on front since that is where most of the work is done stopping the vehicle.
