Yea Mike, I am playing a wait and see game and I have no idea if it is correct or not.
I don't have it in my main screen so when I look at it from time to time it has been dropping in 3% increments, but it may be less if I watch it closer.
If I swing by the dealer it would be nice to see if their plug in computer system would show the same level.

After they drained my tank at the dealership to get the ice out, they installed 5 one gallon containers and half of the 6 th container.

I guess I need to run my DEF level down to see when the Edge will pick it up.

You Ford owners, does your DEF level show up on your monitor system?

I like that refill spout Ford uses so you don't over fill the tank. I wonder if that spout will work with other containers.

Ouch! I'm sure glad I won't be messing with that for a few years. Just another example of our govt "helping" us. Are most of you guys with the 2011 trucks carrying a gallon of 2 of "DEF with you? If so where do you carry it, also are you carrying rubber gloves to wear when handling it?

I only carry it when we go on long trips like to a rally and I keep 3 one gallon jugs in the front of my trailer. Then I use them up at the end of the season since def does not have a long shelf life.

The spout will work with other containers and it is spill proof. It will also stop the flow when the tank is full. The only bad thing about the DEF fill location on the Ford it that it is so close to the fuel filler. I have heard that the DEF has already ruined some engines because someone put it in the fuel tank.

I was wondering about that, yikes. A lot of people complain on the location of the GM filler but I have not had a problem. I also use a funnel never have tried it with the fill spouts that they just finally provided me with. Since for awhile they only came on the 2 gallon containers. You can see if the dealership spills that stuff and does not clean it up. White crystals all over the place, as soon as you hit that stuff with water its gone.

In Oregon they require a service attendant to fill your fuel, just last week I jumped out the truck because the attendant had the gas nozzle in his hand :-ss :-ss :-ss :-ss :-ss
Just think if they put gas in the DEF tank, I know you will get a purity warning but it may blow the exhaust system out or worst.

George in most station here in Oree gun you can pump your own diesel I do it all the time since I don't want them filling the bed tank because most of them can't even see over the bed rail of the truck.

I use a funnel too. When I'm done, I get out the hose and water down the engine area. Making sure I get enough to wash it down thru the frame and off the driveway.

I've had just the opposite happen when I pulled in with the trailer attached.
