I'm happy my 2011 Dodge Ram doesn't need the fluid. I was told the Cummins engine met the standard without it.

It did not meet the standards, the govermemt gave a grace period. It will be on the new Dodge soon if not on the late 2011 higher power engine now.
Even GM had the ok to shutoff the DEF systems until they get the bugs out of the systems.
All are having issues to solve.

There was an article in Diesel Power showing how water meth injection does and even better job of cleaning it up even on an over fueled truck. Shows the aftermarket is way better than the EPA and manufacturs. For those of you that don't know water meth injections give you more power and allowed for cooler piston temps and you can use washerfluid which is dirt cheap and always available. Just adding to the conversation.

And $2.55 to $2.88 a gallon, in retail bottles, at Pilot/Flying J yesterday. Guess where it's $2.88. I wonder if that includes sales tax.
Anyone know the pump price?

Jeff The DEF bulk price is $2.59.9 at Love's at Tehachapi. They don't have DEF bulk at either the Love's, Flying J or Pilot in Barstow.

I have been getting 1,100 miles per gallon it equals out to 1 to 1.25% of fuel usage so the mileage changes while towing.

Or $0.0026 per mile @ $2.88 per gallon.
