Seems to be a shame you've had to put up with this aggrivation, when they should have done the replacement in the first place.

The Tarboro dealer sent a rollback up to Richmond to pick up the new truck. Seems the new DEF tank pump showed up before the rollback. Local dealer installed it and is waiting for me to pick it up. I'll sleep on it. Called Tarboro dealer to ask who was going to wash it as it has been sitting out in the back lot for over two weeks. Dealer told me to drive it down to him and he'd get it cleaned. That is two hours away. I told him no. I'm really disgusted by their whole attitude. I told him I was upset that no one could tell me the part would arrive today. Guess I'm stuck with a new Ford I have no desire to drive.

It may be the only thing that will go wrong and be the best truck you have ever owned or not but you won't know until you try it.

I hope it's all downhill for you from now on with your new truck, I have been keeping an eye on the Ford and Chevy forms about this new DEF thingy and both have had some growing pains, it just ain't like the old days. The next thing you know we will be adding fluid to our mud flaps, that's why whenever I get behind the wheel of my old mustangs I have a big smile on my face, if they fail to start or develope a miss it's pretty darn easy to diagnose and fix.

Now that the repair has been made you should be getting another customer satisfaction survey, enjoy filling it out. At least this way you should have gotten an upgraded DEF part instead of another faulty one from the other truck. Try your best to put this behind you and enjoy the new ride.

I know it is really frustrating when something brand new breaks down whether it is a tow vehicle, fifth wheel or computer or what ever the list could go on forever, but as Mike said It may be the only thing you ever have go wrong with the Truck! I know when my new computer blew the power source the second day I had it and I was furious but after having it replaced the computer has worked great for 4 years now. It won't always do what I tell it to do but  Martha tells me that is operator error not computer error.
