Rob, is this the first you've gone across the scales?

My total trailer weight looks like this on average:

Pin weight - 2500#
Axle weight - 10181#

Total (with 3/4 tank of fresh water) 12681#

Well within the trailer GVW.

LOL, no I used the same scales years ago and if I remember the pin weight was as 2K and the trailer axles were under 10K.

I may be exceeding my trailer GVW. I'll check the placard when I get a chance.

Your right you better put that tubo on a diet, you are running way more weight then my 06 did and Susanna thought it was a bomb shelter.

I think you're right Mike.

I checked and the GVW of the trailer is 12190#. Oops!

The axles are 5200# each so I'm OK there, barely.

Interesting comparing your truck to mine. Will be good to compare Jeff's weights to mine IF he ever gets it.

No DEF used in 1600 miles, over 13 miles to the gallon towing, I still think you need to check under the hood and find out if Ford put their secret experimental engine in your truck. =)) =)) =)) =)) =))

LOL, that works for me. :thumbrt:

In the Cardinal world we have a relatively light trailer at 12000+ pounds. With 3:55 gearing and 18" wheels it may just be the ideal combination.

That surprised me too George. It may be that I was doing something wrong. In hindsight I have to wonder if the pump was dispensing the DEF to quickly for the relatively small tank. The reason I say that is because this was the first time I had been to the truck pumps and when I filled the diesel tank with 28 gallons it took just seconds. I have never seen a pump dispense fuel so quickly. From what I've seen on You Tube the DEF goes into the pickups rather slowly. Anyway that's why I'll wait for the DEF message before attempting to fill the DEF tank.

WHEN :) I get the new truck, hopefully around the end of next week, I expect it to weigh a bit less then what the '09 weighs when I get it fitted out unless all the Lariat bling makes up for the lighter engine!
