The truck would not let you drive 1k with no def you had the code already and it was a matter of time before limp mode. No def does no harm to the exhaust system just you souls on your shoes since it will shut down if you keep ignoring it.

I remember reading on one of the powerstroke forums that someone else had the same thing happened to their truck, I think they said that it may have happened during transit. I hope all is well for you now and you can finally enjoy your new truck.

I believe that there was a TSB on lines being damaged during transit. It sure would have been nice if the Va dealer would have caught it. Atleast now you can feel better about the truck being a lemon. :thumbrt: :ymparty:

Man am I glad that I have a pre-"DEF fluid" truck (07 Silverado Classic)........Yes... our wonderful Eviromental Protection Agency at work !?!? Can't wait until January when we won't be able to buy some standard lightbulbs because of their rediculious mandates...unbelieveable......don't get me started !! Sorry for your problems with your Powerstroke...... beautiful truck!!......hopefully your problems are behind you and you'll be able to finally enjoy it.
