I had real good luck with the factory battery that came with my V10 Excursion. Also Interstate. Just be sure to replace both batteries at the same time.

I have said many times...we have 16 ish powerstrokes we plow with . They all have Electric Hydraulic plows and 7 have electric hydraulic dumps also. We run Group 65 Batteries from Napa in every one of them, they have 1080 ca each and last 5 to 7 years in our harsh duty. They have a pro rated warranty and all come with a sticker on one end that says for example "B8" which says it was made in February of 2008, when I buy batteries I check the "code" to make sure im getting newer batteries. As a point of interest, the FICM on the 6.0 needs 48 volts to operate properly, if even one battery is weak you can damage either the FICM or other related parts. I recommend checking the load ability every fall and the charging system as a whole at the same time. One mistake I saw the guys at the parts store making was checking the batteries as a pair, DONT DO IT...you must disconnect and check individually.

Ummmmmm, Am I missing something here?????? Even if you 2....X...12.....................................2 batteries, at 12 volts each?????????........How do you come up with 48 volts, not being smart, just wondering what gives?? @-) @-) Does Ford do Magic with their ECM,s :-?

I know with my cummins', the electric air heater Gobbles up the volts............................it will slow down the engine, when they kick on

the batteries are parallel netting twice the amps at 12 volts. Its the same way you can get 45,000 volts from a coil on a 12 volt system. Just very hard to build the voltage with one lame battery even with capacitors, step up coils or whatever hocus pocus they use.(transformer)

I just replaced the original batteries on my 06 and I went back with Motorcraft, better battery and no more expensive than the ones that the parts houses carry.
